The 48th edition of the “International wine and spirits exhibition” is not even finished and Apulia Region can already draw up an exciting evaluation.

This, at least, is the feeling that you breathe into the now historic and unmissable event in the wine sector. This year over 4,100 exhibitors presented their wines to more than 140 000 visitors, of  which about 50 000 trade visitors from 120 countries.

The Apulian pavillion, indeed, with 120 participating companies, is one of the most visited and appreciated, as further proof  of the overwhelming growth of the wine sector in the Apulia region.

The Department of Agroindustrial Resources of  the Apulia Region, with the help of the Apulian Chambers of Commerce, the AIS (Italian Association of Sommelier), the ONAV (National Organization of Wine Tasters) and the Wine Tourism Movement, organized an exhibition itinerary filled with opportunities of interactions and exchange of views, with great attention, in particular, to the production of organic wines.

And in the meantime the apulian wineries started to get the leading awards of the event (Giuseppe Di Maria and the “Due Palme” winery), proof of the high level of quality achieved in the heel of Italy as well as of the importance that the wine industry is gaining in the regional economy.
